In Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, on June 20-22, 2012 - 20 years after the 1992 United Nations Conference on Environment and Development - people from all over the world will gather and discuss how to best manage our common future in a sustainable and lasting way. Concha y Toro is the first ever winery to be invited to participate in this event.
The winery will be presenting a range of its top wines to the international delegation as well as giving a paper on its own sustainability strategy.
Sustainability is central to Concha y Toro’s business strategy. Having conducted a rigorous audit of the company (and its suppliers’) carbon emissions, it is now focussed on a wide range of initiatives to reduce its footprint, both carbon and water and to do business in the most sustainable ways possible.
