Who we are

Concha y Toro UK is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Viña Concha y Toro, one of the world's largest and most successful wine companies,  and operates as a UK registered company in its own right.

Established in the UK in 2001, we now import well over 6 million cases of wine from our parent company's wineries in Chile, Argentina and California.  Our team has grown from 2 at the very beginning to number over 60 in 2017.

Our vision and Mission

Our vision is:

"To be a scale, sustainable and profitable distributor of market leading brands to key UK trade channels - and a best practice benchmark company for Concha y Toro."

Our mission is:

"We will deliver high quality, inspirational brands that enrich occasions for consumers and enhance category value for customers."

We were very proud to receive two major industry awards in 2016.

Branded Alcohol Supplier of the Year - The Grocer Gold Awards

We were thrilled to receive this award, which is compiled from unprompted feedback from industry buyers across the multiple grocers, wholesalers and convenience sectors. The Grocer said:

“This poll marks the first time a wine supplier has won in the BWS category. Chile-based Concha y Toro emerged
victorious for a number of reasons.”

Drinks Company of the Year - The Drinks Business Awards

We were no less delighted to pick up this very prestigious award from The Drinks Business at the London Wine Fair. Company of the Year is the top award given at this well-known event, and Concha y Toro UK beat a very competitive field to succeed. It followed on from the global business winning the international version of the award in 2015 (see below).

Extensive vineyard ownership

In terms of vineyard ownership, Concha y Toro is the second largest winery in the world. The Concha y Toro Group currently owns 10,703 hectares of prime vineyards located all over Chile, Argentina and California.  This allows the wineries to achieve consistently high levels of quality with every vintage. The winemakers have access to the very best quality grapes and have an exceptional amount of control over production, which is key to successful winemaking.

Concha y Toro is the parent company for a wide variety of quality wine brands.

Further awards and accolades

Drinks Company of the Year

Concha y Toro was proud to be named 'International Drinks Company of the Year' at the prestigious Drinks Business Awards 2015.  The judges said: “This goes to a company that evidently doesn’t like to rest on its laurels.

"Although the operation broke the through the billion-dollar mark for the first time in 2014, It was the investment in a new Centre for Research and Innovation in Chile that particularly impressed the judges. Dedicated to fostering a more sustainable future for the wine industry, this new facility will benefit both our winner, and viticulturists worldwide.”

Most Powerful Wine Brand

For the second consecutive year, Concha y Toro was ranked as the most powerful wine brand in the world, in the 2015 ranking “Power 100 Most Powerful Wine Brands”, prepared by the independent consultancy, Intangible Business.

The Power 100  is prepared by a panel of independents experts with long involvement in the industry, with over 200 years of combined experience. Its members have been involved in the most important wines and spirits companies, in positions of responsibility in almost all markets. They have been asked to assess close to 10,000 brands from which the list of the Top 100 is produced.
