Casillero del Diablo recognized as 2nd Most Powerful Wine Brand in the World

Casillero del Diablo has received yet another international recognition, this time from the influential English consulting agency, Wine Intelligence, which has declared it the second most powerful wine brand in the world. CdD-fire.jpg
Wine Intelligence prepared its first Global Wine Brand Power Index after interviewing 16,000 wine drinkers from the industry’s 15 most important countries, representing 380,000,000 consumers.

“This support is essential for Casillero del Diablo because the index is based on our primary target group—consumers. We are very proud of the place we earned, and it is an enormous motivation to keep working to position Casillero del Diablo as one of the most important, most widely recognized, and most appreciated wine brands in the world,” says Cristóbal Goycoolea, Corporate Marketing Director for Global Brands of Concha y Toro.

The Power Index is based on the connection a brand has with its consumers, and Wine Intelligence used six input measures, including brand awareness, the ability to recall purchases made in the past three months, and brand connection measures of product affinity and recommendation, to determine the results.
In the country breakdown, the Chilean brand led the ranking in the Brazilian, Chilean, and Irish markets and was among the top 5 in China, UK, Brazil, South Korea and Sweden.

The Index was topped by the Australian brand Yellow Tail, followed by Casillero del Diablo in second place, positioning it above such internationally recognized brands as Gallo and Jacob’s Creek.
With a broad portfolio of products available in more than 145 countries around the world, today Casillero del Diablo is the most global Chilean wine brand in the world.
